Catalyst poisoning studies – ¹³C and ¹H MAS NMR

Catalyst poisoning involves a compound that bond chemically to the active surface site of a catalyst. Poisoning decreases the number of catalytic sites that are responsible for promoting a reaction. From the ssNMR spectral analysis of catalyst before and after catalysis, one can reveal the nature and extend of catalyst poisoning.
